Methodology

The criteria used for rankings and comparison pages on this site.

When this site ranks or compares one-stroke games, the goal is not to reward the loudest game or the oldest brand. The goal is to identify which game gives players the best long-term puzzle experience on iPhone.

CriterionWhat it means
ReplayabilityWhether the game runs out of meaningful content or keeps producing new, worthwhile puzzles.
Ad experienceHow often ads interrupt flow and whether ads are optional or forced.
Difficulty designWhether challenge ramps smoothly or adapts to the player instead of spiking randomly.
Offline usefulnessWhether the game can be played cleanly without network access.
Sensory feelHaptics, audio, clarity, and whether the game feels deliberate rather than generic.
EfficiencyApp size, friction to start playing, and how respectful the game is of time and attention.
Important: methodology is not a promise of scientific objectivity. It is a transparent framework so readers can understand why a page reaches a given conclusion.
